Preparing for Spring

The sunshine got me in the mood for spring! I know there is more bad weather on the way, but I couldn’t resist buying a few spring plants to brighten up my otherwise brown and dead looking front garden.  I went with a white theme, primroses, pansies, tulips and daffodils so they’d stand out and they’ll go with the green fencing that is about 30% painted! Just a wee bit more to do…

And then I popped to Wilkinson’s to pick up some cheap seeds to fill the massive gaps we have in our flower beds, when the winds drop down from gale force I’ll pick myself up a little plastic greenhouse to grow them in. I learnt the hardway about putting them out too early, they end up blown down to the end of the garden – with the plants in them!  I can’t wait to get started!

I can’t wait for better weather – I have big plans this year. I popped out earlier to top up the bird feeders and noticed my bulbs are starting to come through. Its really exciting because I can’t remember what I planted where.

Yes and snow too on the way again! I’ve had to hide all my new plants next to the house and hope that protects them. *fingers crossed*
