The Dresser is here..

And it looks beautiful 🙂

First off I’d like to say a massive thank you to my Dad and Paul for going to get it!  It’s not orange (yay!) and there are a couple of water stains on it, but you can’t really see them at all as they are on the back. It doesn’t need much work at all, we do need to attach the top to the bottom which would make us both happier safety wise. It’s not wobbly but I am aware that the daft dog or child running into it might make it topple, so it’s worth a little work to make it safe.  I’m unsure of painting it now so,  we’re going to live with it for a bit and then decide. I can’t do it until spring anyway, as I have to take it outside to paint.

What do you guys think?

  1. I think it’s lovely. I would really love one. Sigh. Yes, good idea to live with the finish of it as it is, especially as it’s nice and not hideous! Mine would be cluttered and festooned with fairy lights and bunting so am impressed with your lovely clear/tidy one (or is it just early days?!).

    1. LOL! Ummm I may have fairy lights lined up to go on it 🙂 I’m waiting until we’ve attached the top and bottom before I go mad decorating it though.

  2. Oooh it’s gorgeous! I don’t know if I’d want to paint it as it’s not as orange as it looked initially.
I’m with Viv… total dresser envy! *sigh*

  3. Ooh, lovely! I quite like that colour of pine – all my bedroom furniture is that colour, and I occasionally wonder about painting it, then I rewax it and it looks all lovely and mellow and I change my mind again.

  4. It is gorgeous unpainted and i so want one now…. but i love the pic of the painted one that someone posted on last week too….especially love the emma bridgewater on it….well worth the money and proves that ebay can be the place for some good finds despite the fact that you have to trawl through lots of overpriced rubbish to find it!

    1. That painted one was beautiful wasn’t it? You’re right there was a lot of really expensive ones on eBay but it’s worth trawling through sometimes 🙂
