As you ask, I am hosting my grandmother’s 90th birthday here tomorrow. There will be 50 guests and instead of pondering spiders on Twitter and reading blogs I should be cleaning bathrooms and kitchens whilst my little ones sleep. Think the rest of the hols will be clearing up and eating leftovers.

We went blackberry picking the other day, so made a blackberry and apple crumble today, looks fab! Got to wait till family lunch on Sunday to enjoy it though!
Going to a food festival tomorrow, so think I’ll be mainly stuffing my face this bank holiday!

We went to a Spring fair at one of the local schools and then to Manly for fish and chips and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. We love it there – the kids are happy, we’re happy, life is happy. x

hi Liz, we love blackberry picking in the hedgerows near to us in Cheshire. It’s such a great activity for kids then off home to make something yummy with our find! Very satisfying. Kx
