I love the trend in the US for using pumpkins as a decoration in autumn rather than just having them as a purely Halloween item.

Does anyone know where I can get white pumpkins or their seeds so I can grow them for next year? I’ve not seen them anywhere and I’d love to use them.

I love the first set. Very sweet.

Could’ve brought some back from Canada! My dad had seeds for green, orange and white ones…

Oh wait, bringing back seeds or fruits is illegal isn’t it? Nevermind… You’ll have to keep looking I guess! (Will let you know if I spot them anywhere!)

As a total aside- know anyone looking to get rid of a sewing machine? Started preparing fun giveaways for Xmas but handsewing them is going to take me a century, so rather than buy a new machine, I thought I’d see if anyone I know has one gathering dust somewhere ;)

Oh those are beautiful!

When I have my big enormous house I am going to have a ‘seasonal’ room, filled full of things for the season. My atumn room would be all dried leaves to play in – and those gorgeous pumpkin candle holders on the window sill :-)

Right the small white ones are called Boo or Baby Boo and are squashes
cucurbita moschata are pale orange punkins
White Lumina Punkins

Not sure about where to get in the UK, Thompson and Morgan dont have these varieties.

We have a display of Pumkins and squash on the shelve in my kitchen, it is very autumnal, although it will only last till be east them!!!

They may have others, but this is where we bought ours…sadly the slugs got to them before we did :( I think i simply tempted fate with my blog name and it had nothing to do with the pumpkins

Very pretty!

I’d have a go at one but suspect A&E would need alerting. My efforts are much much more basic.

:)

Smitten – Glad you liked them, that first picture is my favourite too :)
Vero – I don’t know about seeds I think that might be ok?? Will have to have a google – maybe it’s not out of the EU? Pointed you in the direction of a cheap sewing machine x
Josie – a seasonal room *SIGH* I want! xx
The Mad House – thanks for the tips, I bet the squash and pumpkins on your shelf look beautiful. Pumpkin and butternut soup – yum!!
Slugs – You are the utter best! Yay! I can grow them next year thank you so much xx
IM – Seriously they don’t come any clumsier than me as my hubby! But they are well worth the effort if you can get them to look pretty and if nothing else spraying them with some paint makes them look pretty too :)

Last year we couldn’t find any….looked to late – they were all gone! Anyway – we painted them, if that helps!! We love the first picture too – Martha always does a bang up job!

These look nothing like the pumpkins from my patch! They are mainly green due to lack of sun! I must take a photo and show you… (guess I’m not Martha Stewart)

I grew white pumpkins this year with seeds I bought from Wyvale Garden centre. They were called ghost Pumpkins! Am just about to transform them into soup. I carved a couple up for Halloween but I have loads left!
